Grand Lodges and Grand Chapters

The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) is the governing body of Freemasonry in England, Wales, and the Channel Islands.

The Metropolitan Grand Lodge supports Freemasonry in the London area, and is based out of Freemasons’ Hall.

The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons is based at Mark Masons’ Hall.

The Grand Lodge of Scotland is the governing body of Freemasonry in Scotland.

The Grand Lodge of Ireland is the governing body of Freemasonry in Ireland.

The Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, it is the governing body for Royal Arch Masonry in England, Wales, and the Channel Islands.

The Supreme Council 33°, is the governing body for Ancient and Accepted Rite (also informally known as the “Rose Croix”) in England and Wales.

Masonic Charities

The Foundation brings together the work of four former national Masonic Charities which had been operating separately under various names since the early 18th Century.

The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI) has been caring for older Freemasons and their dependents for over 160 years. As well as other benevolent activities, they operate 17 residential care Homes across England and Wales that offer a range of high-quality care options.

Masonic Clubs

Membership of the Club is open to any Freemason under 35 years of age, whose Lodge/Chapter is under the Metropolitan Grand Lodge or who lives/works within London.

Membership of the Club is open to any Freemason over 35 years of age (with no upper limit), whose Lodge/Chapter is under the Metropolitan Grand Lodge or who lives/works within London.
